Jou Jou’s Bites

A note from Jou Jou’s Bites:

Our story originates in the south west corner of Taiwan, in my hometown - Kaohsiung. I vividly remember my Granny and aunties arguing in the kitchen over the perfect braised pork belly recipe. From debating over the amount of star anise in the pork stock, to the perfect proportion of garlic and vinegar in our pickles - our food is born from tradition and a celebration of my family, my culture, and the largely underrepresented culinary history of my home - Taiwan. 

Jou Jou’s Bites has since provided catering for a number of prestigious institutions in and around London, including Goldman Sachs, UBS, State Street Bank, JP Morgan, Amazon, Nationwide, Trainline.com, and many more. Some of these visits featured month-long residencies with strong sales for the duration of our time there. We have also provided catering for more casual and entertainment-focused settings, such as catering for ZSL London Zoo, London Pride Festival, Stylist Magazine, Lambeth Country Show and Rally Festival. 

We’re really proud to have been awarded Togather’s “Best Newcomer in 2025” award. We’ve also been lucky enough to have featured in a number of publications, including “La Vie”, a Taiwanese lifestyle magazine. We were also a finalist in the Golden Chopstick Awards’ Best Street Food Award, and selected by Togather as one of their “25 in 25: rising stars of the street food & catering industry. 

We firmly believe that our passion for delivering our authentic, delicious and relatively underrepresented cuisine fits perfectly into Bird & Co's own ethos. Our dedication to our product has seen our company achieve a great deal of success over the past three years, though we completely appreciate that this is only possible with the help of our business partners, staff and, most importantly of all, our customers.
